Job summary

Smokyridgehc in Burnsville, NC is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in adult and geriatric residents within a skilled nursing facility.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, work with nursing and rehabilitation staff, document progress and discharge summaries, and educate residents and families on strategies to support communication and swallowing health.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current North Carolina SLP license or eligibility.
  • CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred; CFY considered.

  • Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team at our skilled nursing facility in Burnsville, NC. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in our adult and geriatric residents. Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess residents for speech, language, communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders.

Work Schedule
