Pay Range: USD $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Re-assess treatment effectiveness regularly, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
  • Conduct discharge evaluations, recommend safety measures at home and in the community, and provide referrals and educational resources.
  • Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications

What you will need:

  • A Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
  • Valid Speech Language Pathology license in practicing states.
  • Current CPR Certification as per state regulations.
  • At least one year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for neurological injuries (preferred).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with physical requirements including moving, lifting, and transferring patients up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
  • Physical capability to perform duties involving fine motor skills, visual acuity, and extended walking or standing.
  • Additional physical requirements include pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, and repositioning.
  • A health screening may be required prior to and periodically during employment.
