Aviator Home Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver specialized therapy for speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders in home health settings across the Plano, TX area. You will work within a clinical team, perform assessments, and implement evidence-based rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Texas Driver's License.
  • Two years of experience in an acute care, rehabilitation setting, or home health preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments to identify patient needs.
  • Develop and revise Plan of Care in consultation with the physician and care team.
  • Provide therapeutic treatments for speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
  • Evaluate outcomes of care with appropriate discharge planning.
  • Supervise speech language assistant and HHA as appropriate.
  • Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board.

With Aviator, you're not just a clinician out in the field, you'll be part of a CLINICAL TEAM that works together for the betterment of our patients with unparalleled support from our office and management staff.Job Summary: A Speech Language Pathologist who provides provides therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech, language, hearing, oral motor, swallowing and cognitive disorders.Essential Functions:Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments to identify patient needs, level of functioning, ability to communicate, appropriateness of patient for home care, including OASIS assessments at appropriate time points.Develop/revise Plan of Care in consultation with the physician and other care team members.Provide therapeutic treatments for speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders with appropriate tests and measurements.Evaluate outcomes of care with appropriate discharge planning.Apply concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients.Supervise speech language assistant and HHA as appropriate.Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner.Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board and participate in in-service programs.Use effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to advise and consult with the family and other agency personnel as appropriate.Promote Agency philosophy and administrative policies.Demonstrate commitment, professional growth and competency.Job Qualifications:Education: Master’s Degree or doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or universityLicensure: Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology, current Texas Drivers LicenseExperience: Two years experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting, home health preferred.Aviator Home Health is one of the fastest growing companies in the DFW.
