Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in acute care or rehab with adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia, and communication-cognitive issues.
• Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Available to work weekends/holidays and learn basic documentation systems.

Description

Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for assessing and treating patients referred for speech language, hearing and swallowing disorders in a n effective and professional manner.
• Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff and families to ensure quality of care.
• Therapists provide assessment and care for patients of all ages from neonates through the geriatric patients.
• Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable)

Graduate of an accredited school with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Current Maryland License to practice Speech pathology

CPR certified within probationary period.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Two years experience in acute care or rehabilitation setting with an emphasis on adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia, and communication-cognitive impairments.
• Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics
• Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Must be willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling and charging systems

Pay range

$52.04 Per Diem Flat Rate

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
