Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a part-time, per diem role with day shift hours. You will assess and treat patients with speech, language, hearing and swallowing disorders, working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

The position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Maryland license, and CPR certification within probation. Some weekend/holiday hours may be required, and computer systems for documentation will be

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
Maryland licensure to practice speech-language pathology.
CPR certification required within probationary period.
Two years experience in acute care or rehabilitation with adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia and communication-cognition impairments.
Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics.
Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends English.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Willing to become proficient on basic computer systems used for documentation, scheduling and charging.

Responsibilities

Assess and treat patients referred for speech, language, hearing and swallowing disorders.
Collaborate with physicians, medical staff and families to ensure quality care.
Provide care for patients from neonates to geriatrics.
