Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Staff Physician to manage diagnosis and treatment for patients, aiming for efficient care and preventive services. You will conduct patient exams and consultations, striving for about 10 visits per 4-hour session, while supporting the center's mission and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities include participating in quality improvement, advising on clinical matters, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and successful completion of a residency.
• MD with Maryland medical license in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience in acute care, preferably in a community health center.
• Two years supervisory experience required.
• Board Certification Eligibility.

• Participate in Center’s Quality Performance Improvement program.
• Advise management on clinical matters and audit results.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Joint Commission standards.

Position Summary:

The Staff Physician is responsible for managing the diagnosis and efficient and effective treatment of Health Center patients to include a therapeutic health service that focuses on health restoration, health maintenance and disease prevention. Providing patient exams and consultations striving to reach 10 patient visits per 4- hour session.

Responsibilities

• The Staff Physician is responsible for participating in the Center’s Quality Performance Improvement program.
• The Staff Physician advises management on clinical matters and the results of any external audits, clinical quality problems and the progress of quality improvement efforts.
• The Staff Physician maintains in compliance with Federal, State, and Local health care regulations as well as the Joint Commission standards.
• Primary medical care will be provided in a culturally competent manner to a medically underserved, low income, uninsured patient population.
• After hours coverage will be maintained as appropriate.
• Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable):

• Medical Doctor with current Maryland licensure free from restrictions or limitations.
• DEA registered
• CDS licensed
• CPR certified
• EPSDT Certification( if applicable)
• Board Certification Eligibility

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and successful completion of a residency program.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in acute care setting, preferably a community health center serving culturally diverse and underserved patient populations.
• A minimum of two years supervisory experience required.
• Experience in the development and management of quality, risk, and utilization review processes.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills

Pay Range:

$62.00- $120.19

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
