Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders, under physician orders. Responsibilities include plan, treatment, and program development to enhance departmental services.

Minimum requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, active state license, and CCC-SLP from ASHA or SLP-CF with supervision.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Clinical doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or a PhD is preferred.
• Active license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of employment is required.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA is required or SLP-CF considered case-by-case with supervision.

Job description

Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Education and Work Experience

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.
• Clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology (SLPD) and and or PhD in speech-language pathology or communication sciences and disorders preferred.
• Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment free of disciplinary action required.
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) free of disciplinary action – OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.
• At least one year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current required.
