The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a speech/language pathologist to provide comprehensive care for patients with varying health conditions. The successful candidate will be integral to multidisciplinary teams, offering evaluations and treatments focused on communication, cognition, and swallowing.
Applicants must possess a Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology and be certified by ASHA. Experience in a medical setting is preferred, as the role emphasizes collaboration and patient education for post-discharge care.

Provides speech/language pathology services to patients in varying states of health and illness. The speech/language pathologist (SLP) functions as an essential member of therapy and multidisciplinary teams providing direct care to patients. They provide evaluation and treatment in the areas of communication, cognition and swallowing. The SLP teaches and prepares patients/families and caregivers for continued care after discharge. The speech/language pathologist demonstrates dedication to their professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of patient care. The SLP works within a cooperative team model of care and supports other SLP's by sharing caseloads and assisting colleagues when the need arises.
Experience with adults and children in a medical setting preferred.
