Job summary

UVM Health Network- Porter Medical Center seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to administer and direct SLP treatments as prescribed by referring physicians. The role involves evaluating, planning, directing and treating patients referred to Speech-Language Pathology to restore function and enable independent living.

Responsibilities include performance improvement activities, CQI participation, and providing budget-related information to support optimum patient care.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college.
• Current State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Current BCLS certification.

Job description

Speech-Language Pathology treatments help to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. Assists patients to obtain maximum performance and function in society while learning to live a routine "normal" life within the constraints of their disability. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Provides information related to departmental budget considerations in relationship to Speech-Language Pathology's needs for optimum patient care and service. Performs some administrative duties at the delegation of the Rehabilitation Services Director. Qualifications Masters degree from an accredited college in Speech-Language Pathology. Current State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Current BCLS certification.
