Job summary

Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Moline, IL is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team on a per diem basis. You will provide assessment, diagnosis and therapy for residents with speech, language and swallowing disorders, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

We require a Master''s degree in SLP, CFY or eligible for certification, CCC-SLP or ability to obtain within 6 months, and a state SLP license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

• Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
• Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions and resident progress
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of care and service

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MA or MS) from an ASHA-accredited program
• Clinical fellowship completed (CFY) or eligible for certification
• Current certification as an SLP (CCC-SLP) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Possess a valid state license to practice as an SLP
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
