Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13+ week assignment in Montevideo, MN. The role is primarily outpatient with limited inpatient exposure, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

You will assess, diagnose and treat communication disorders, develop plans, and document per HIPAA. Licensure or eligibility, CPR, and ASHA certification (preferred) are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• State licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR Certification.
• ASHA Certification (preferred).
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing and treating communication disorders such as speech, fluency, language, voice and swallowing disorders
• Developing, planning and implementing a personalized treatment plan to address patient concerns
• Working with an interdisciplinary team to provide patient care
• Educating and counseling patients and families on communication and swallowing disorders
• Keeping up to date on new techniques and trends in the field of speech language pathology and communication disorders
• Performing administrative tasks such as keeping records, writing reports and making telephone calls
• Authenticating, preparing, and submitting of documentation, ensuring confidentiality of all records, per HIPAA guidelines

Position Overview

• Location: Montevideo, MN
• Setting: Primarily OP; limited IP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40-hour weekly guarantee
• Schedule: Flexible; Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (No weekends, holidays, or call)
• Contract Length: 13+weeks - Looking for 21 weeks
