Purpose:
Consistent with the Jamestown School Department’s vision and mission, the Speech Language Pathologist is to work in partnership with parents, students, educators, and external agencies to improve the academic achievement of students with disabilities who are identified with communication disabilities and needs; planning and implementing appropriate treatment to minimize adverse impact on student success in the school setting and to contribute to the development of IEP goals and benchmarks
The Speech Language Pathologist functions as a member of the Evaluation Team & Response to Intervention Team.
