Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic speech language pathologist (SLP) to serve our pediatric and adult patients with our collaborative Burnsville Clinic team and Flexible Workforce team!

Preferred candidate will have CCC - SLP and formal training and clinical experience providing feeding services. Where feeding experience is limited, Fairview offers mentoring and development opportunities for professional growth. In collaboration with patients and families, the SLP is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.

• FTE: 1.0, authorized to work 80 hours per pay period.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts between 7:00am - 6:00pm.
  • Three Days/Week (Pediatrics) at Fairview Cobblestone Clinic in Burnsville, and
  • Two Days/Week (Pediatrics & Adult) at various locations - Flexible Workforce.
• Flexible Workforce will provide coverage for various locations across Twin Cities metro area; including Burnsville, Edina, Eagan, Maple Grove, Maplewood, New Hope, and Woodbury.

Fairview Rehabilitation offers a range of services that serve patients across 10 acute-care hospitals, 3 post-acute settings and 70 outpatient adult and pediatric therapy clinics. Responsibilities

• The Speech Language Pathologist partners with the patient and family while performing the Evaluation/Re-evaluation
• Gathers pertinent data
• Performs examination
• Determines treatment diagnosis
• Develops an individualized plan of care through collaboration with the patient and family
• Analyzes data to identify needs and potential risks
• Determines prognosis for recovery
• Establishes individualized goals with patient and/or caregiver

• Coordinates care and communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team for all aspects of patient care

• Assesses patient and/or caregiver learning needs and provides appropriate education

Required Qualifications

• Certification by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Speech Language Pathology license in the state of Minnesota
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• If in Clinical Fellowship Year only: Active temporary license in the State of Minnesota, ASHA member and actively working towards obtaining Certificate of Clinical Competence

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year experience
• Feeding experience for infants and children
• Completion of CFY
• CCC-SLP credential by ASHA
• Completion of SOS Approach to Feeding Tarining Course

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
