Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking an outpatient pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join teams at Woodbury and Maplewood clinics. The role requires CCC-SLP and feeding experience, with mentoring available.

The SLP collaborates with families, delivers safe, outcomes-based care, and participates in a broad range of professional development and clinical specialization opportunities within a supportive academic health system.

Qualifications

• ASHA certification is required.
• Minnesota Speech Language Pathology license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• If in CFY, active temporary Minnesota license and ASHA member working toward CCC-SLP.

Responsibilities

• Partner with patient and family during Evaluation/Re-evaluation.
• Gathers pertinent data and performs examination.
• Determines diagnosis and plan of care.
• Develops individualized plan of care with patient and family.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team and communicates effectively.
• Establishes discharge plan and monitors patient progress.
• Performs documentation and billing in a timely manner.

Job Overview

We are seeking a collaborative, outpatient pediatric speech language pathologist (SLP) to join our teams at Fairview Clinics in Woodbury and Fairview Clinic and Specialty Center in Maplewood!

Preferred candidate will have CCC - SLP and experience with providing feeding services. Where feeding experience is limited, Fairview offers mentoring and development opportunities for professional growth. In collaboration with patients and families, the SLP is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.

• FTE: 1.0 authorized for 80 hours per pay period.
• Schedule: Five, 8-hour days with two of the days being later hours to accommodate after-school therapy sessions. Shifts between 7:30am - 5:00pm. No weekends.
• Flexible to work at up to three clinics in Woodbury and Maplewood, based on patient needs.

Fairview Rehabilitation offers a range of services that serve patients across 10 acute-care hospitals, 3 post-acute settings and 70 outpatient adult and pediatric therapy clinics. Responsibilities

• The Speech Language Pathologist partners with the patient and family while performing the Evaluation/Re-evaluation
• Gathers pertinent data
• Performs examination

Required Qualifications

• Certification by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Speech Language Pathology license in the state of Minnesota
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• If in Clinical Fellowship Year only: Active temporary license in the State of Minnesota, ASHA member and actively working towards obtaining Certificate of Clinical Competence

• 1 year outpatient pediatric experience

• Completion of CFY

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE).
