Shift: Shift 1/8:00:00 AM to 5:30:00 PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$32.59 - $44.00 / hour (New Grads start at $34.00/hour)

While this position is located at our Golisano Children's Health Center Outpatient Rehabilitation, below are the other areas of practice that our rehabilitation team services:

  • ACUTE CARE: Lee Memorial Hospital, Cape Coral Hospital, Gulf Coast Medical Center, Healthpark Medical Center
  • SPECIALTY HOSPITALS: The Rehab Hospital (IRF), Golisano Children's Hospital
  • POST ACUTE: Gulf Coast Skilled Nursing Unit, Lee Memorial Skilled Nursing Unit, Healthpark Care Center (SNF)
  • OUTPATIENT: 14 Outpatient Adult Clinics, 5 Outpatient Pediatric Clinics
  • HOME HEALTH: South, Central and North regions

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is responsible for providing screening, evaluation, treatment, and education for those who demonstrate impairments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and/or swallowing. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for adherence to and compliance with all American Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA) professional standards. The SLP is engaged in administration, consultation, education and research. The SLP is expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. The attributes, characteristics or behaviors required for success in this job include: critical thinking, communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, use of constructive feedback, effective use of time and resources, stress management, and commitment to learning.

Requirements

Education: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Experience: Certificate of Clinical Competency. Unless otherwise indicated, one year of current experience within the last three years for a comparable job classification required.

Certification: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support).

License: Active Florida State Speech Language Pathologist Licensure.

Other: Staff may be required to rotate to treatment areas, other than their primary designation, as requested by their department leader. This could include an AHCA regulated area (Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Health, and Pediatrics) that requires Level 2 Background Screening.
