Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' functional communication and swallowing needs.
• Follow physician orders and facility policies to document care.
• Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Provide effective therapeutic interventions to maintain or improve function.
• Educate residents and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Maintain accurate resident progress reports for regulatory bodies.
