Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current state license required.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong therapy evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat facility patients/residents needing SLP services.
• Review medical information and conduct screenings prior to evaluations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide direct treatment and educate treatment staff; supervise SLP staff.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate billing information.
• Attend interdisciplinary and family meetings to relay findings and recommendations.
• Adhere to documentation requirements of the Rehabilitation department and facility.
• Conduct staff training and in-services as appropriate.
• Follow facility policies and rehab policy and procedure manuals.
• Supervise non-professional staff as appropriate.
