Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Must hold a current state license.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Show competency in therapy treatment and evaluation principles, techniques, materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat facility patients/residents needing Physical Therapy services.
• Review medical information and conduct screenings to determine need and benefit.
• Perform evaluations under physician order and develop treatment plans.
• Implement plans through direct treatment, staff education, and supervision.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, facility, and physician information.
• Keep accurate billing information daily and within procedures.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings to relay findings and recommendations.
• Attend family meetings as appropriate.
• Adhere to documentation requirements of Rehabilitation department and facility.
• Provide staff training via formal/informal in-services.
• Follow facility policies and Rehab Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and aides as indicated by state laws.
• Supervise non-professional staff as appropriate.
