Job summary

Mercyhealth in Illinois is seeking a licensed speech-language pathologist to provide high-quality evaluations and evidence-based treatment across sites. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, collaboration with nursing and physician teams, and mentoring colleagues.

You will plan and deliver lectures, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and travel to cross-coverage locations as needed. A Master’s in SLP, IL/WI licensure, and CCC from ASHA are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Licensed SLP in WI, IL, or both where required.
• CCC from ASHA (Certified Speech-Language Pathologist).
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Background checks including WI Caregiver and IL Health Care Worker checks.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations/assessments to develop effective care plans.
• Document services thoroughly with appropriate coding and billing.
• Collaborates with physicians and rehab staff to improve outcomes.

OVERVIEWThis role provides high-quality speech-language pathology care through evidence-based evaluations, critical thinking, effective treatment planning, and advanced clinical techniques.
