Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat individuals with communication and swallowing disorders in inpatient, rehab, and/or outpatient settings in New Jersey. The role involves coordination, education, and thorough documentation to ensure evidence-based care for patients and families.

The position requires strong written and verbal communication, proficient computer skills, and a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited institution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for the evaluation of the patient/client in accordance with departmental policies/procedures and standards of practice.
• Establishes a plan of care with the client/patient/family based on functional, measurable goals.
• Performs all functions associated with the execution of therapeutic treatment for all age groups.
• Uses a systematic approach to clinical decision making.
• Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care accordingly.
• Documentation is in accordance with policies and procedures and records charges based on services provided.
