Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in two school settings near Sarasota, FL. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders, while developing IEP goals and collaborating with teachers and families.

You will travel between North Port High School and Oak Park on a predetermined schedule. The position is on-site with flexibility to consider part-time applicants as well.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Florida SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY).
  • Previous experience in educational settings preferred, though new graduates are welcome.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders to a diverse student caseload.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and support school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain thorough and organized records in compliance with state and district policies.
  • Engage students in creative, evidence-based interventions.
  • Regularly travel between North Port High and Oak Park in a pre-arranged, reliable schedule.
