Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract position near Champaign, IL. You will work with educators and families to help children overcome speech and language barriers, in a 37.5-hour work week.

Requirements include a Master’s in SLP, Illinois licensure or eligibility, CCC-SLP or CFY candidates considered, and school-based experience preferred. Collaboration and meticulous documentation are essential.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Illinois SLP licensure or licensure eligibility.
  • CCC-SLP certification or CFY candidates considered.
  • Experience in a school setting or with diverse pediatric populations preferred.
  • Understanding of IEP goals and disabilities preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs.
  • Provide therapy services to students with various communication disorders.
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation according to standards.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute insights on progress and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current, valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Illinois for SLP
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or CFY candidates considered
  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with diverse pediatric populations highly valued
  • Understanding of a broad spectrum of disabilities and experience developing individualized education program (IEP) goals is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:
