Job summary

Mercy Health in the Lourdes Hospital system seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech and swallowing disorders across age groups. You will conduct evaluations, design plans, and apply varied therapies to improve communication skills.

Essential functions include patient assessments, plan development, treatment administration, and education for families. Collaboration with the care team and ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of current practice.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred or required within one year of hire.
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred on hire, required within 30 days at some Mercy Health sites).

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals, patient conditions, and medical histories to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge plans.
• Administer speech-language pathology treatments.
• Design rehabilitative programs for language, swallowing, and cognition.
• Educate patients and families on home-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and attend care conferences.
