Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for St. Rita's Medical Center to diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all ages.

You will conduct evaluations, design and implement treatment plans, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Position emphasizes patient-centered care, compassionate service, and ongoing professional development within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of current practice (required)
• CCC-SLP certification preferred at hire, required within one year
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for certain facilities

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and patient conditions to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct evaluations, develop treatment/discharge plans, and monitor progress.
• Administer speech-language pathology treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Design rehabilitative programs for language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing.
• Educate patients and caregivers for home continuation of therapy.
• Collaborate with the health care team and participate in care planning.
