Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Alpena, Michigan team on a hybrid schedule. You will provide school-based speech and language therapy to K-12 students, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to help students achieve their communication goals within IEP frameworks.

The ideal candidate holds an Michigan SLP license, can pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan, and demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current MI Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility.
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearance required.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formalized assessments to determine eligibility and baseline functioning.
• Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide direct speech therapy aligned with IEP goals.
• Complete and maintain compliant IEPs; participate in annual/triennial reviews.
• Consult with teachers and families to support generalization of communication skills.
• Maintain accurate therapy notes, assessment data, and progress documentation.
• Supervise and support SLPAs, including monitoring supervision hours if applicable.

About the Role:

Provide speech and language therapy services to students in K-12 school settings. You'll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to help students improve communication skills and access their education. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

Must Have:

• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are delivered (or eligibility to obtain)
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred:

• One year of experience in speech therapy
• Department of Education certification
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs
• Experience with school-based caseload management
