Henry Ford Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for Home Health Care in the Macomb Suburbs. This 20-hour per week role focuses on delivering high-quality speech-language pathology services to HFHS patients at home.

You will collaborate with families, HFHS staff, and nutrition colleagues to support swallowing and communication needs, including endoscopic assessments when appropriate. A clinical fellowship year and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Praxis Examination.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year; one year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic clinical speech-language pathology services to HFHS patients.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and HFHS staff on communication and swallowing challenges.
• Diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders; evaluate conditions and prognosis.
• Create customized treatment and therapy programs that get results.
• Schedule and conduct patient follow-up visits.
• Master clinical equipment to measure and analyze speech production during evaluations and treatment.
• Perform endoscopic assessments of vocal fold function and swallowing with precision.
• Partner with dietary personnel to develop menus and eating programs for swallowing challenges.
• Empower patients by prescribing communication technology post-surgery and coaching use.
• Participate in education and research programs, including program development.
• Lead and mentor graduate students and clinical fellows in scheduling, motivation, and feedback.
• Represent HFHS at conferences and educate organizations about programs.
