Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Speech Therapist in Home Health to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders within the home health setting. The role involves developing and implementing a treatment plan and coordinating with the care team to improve patient well‑being.

The therapist will assess, document progress, educate patients and families, and work under the patient care plan to achieve functional communication goals.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws and plan of care.
• Evaluates function using diagnostic and prognostic tests; assists in therapy plan development.
• Treats patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive abilities.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to supervising staff.
