• Maintain data to show progress toward documented goals.

COMPENSATION

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Speech Language Pathologists are expected to provide therapy for students who exhibit special education needs in the areas of language, speech, voice, fluency, and feeding/swallowing in order to help students meet their educational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A valid Illinois Professional Education License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech Language Pathology.
• ASHA CCC's highly recommended
• A valid license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR) in the area of Speech Language Pathology
• Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding special education and speech language pathology including procedures for assessment and treatment of communication disorders
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to case manage speech only students by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, staff, etc.
