Job summary

CRCC is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, treat, and support children with speech, language, and related disorders. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and healthcare teams to provide high-quality therapy and adaptive communication solutions.

Requirements include a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology with Nebraska licensure or eligibility, and CFY candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Licensed or license-eligible Speech-Language Pathologist in Nebraska.
  • Clinical Fellows (CFYs) encouraged to apply.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification or eligibility required/eligible.
  • Medical and pediatric clinical experience preferred.
  • Health status clearance with Nebraska registries required.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing, treating, and helping prevent speech, language, cognitive communication, swallowing, and fluency disorders.
  • Identify and provide therapeutic intervention for expressive and receptive language deficits, memory, attention and problem solving.
  • When appropriate, select alternative communication methods (sign language, low/high-tech AAC).
  • Ensure staff and families understand results of tests and interventions related to swallow studies and medications.
  • Communicate client needs as part of a team including family, classroom staff and peers.
  • Review client records to determine necessary speech and language services (screening, evaluation, continued treatment).

Responsibilities:
  • Assessing, treating, and helping prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive communication, swallowing, and fluency.
  • Identifying and providing therapeutic intervention for clients with communication problems related to deficits in expressive and receptive language, memory, attention, and problem solving.
  • When appropriate, selects alternative forms of communication via sign language, low tech devices, and high-tech augmentative communication devices.
  • Ensures staff and families understand and follow results of medical tests and interventions related to swallow studies, surgeries, and changes in medications.
  • Communicates client needs as part of a team compiled of family, classroom staff and peers.
  • Reviews client records in order to determine necessary speech and language services (screen, evaluation, and continued treatment).

When hired into a benefits-eligible role CRCC also offers excellent benefits for part-time employees.

  • For Casual and Part-time employees'- who work 15-29 hours per week and Part-time 30 plus hours worked per week, who work at least 80 hours of consecutive employment in a calendar year, will accrue one hour per each 30 hours worked with an accrual cap of 56 hours.
  • Holiday policy for paid holidays for part-time staff that average 15 to 35 hours a week, will be paid the average daily hours worked up to a maximum of 4 hours.
  • CRCC employees' who work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for health, dental and vision benefits.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school.
  • Licensed or license-eligible Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Nebraska
  • Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are encouraged to apply
  • Eligible for or holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) though the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. (ASHA).
  • Medical and pediatric clinical experience preferred.
  • Able to meet agency's conditions of employment regarding health status and clearance with the Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry and/or Adult Abuse/Neglect Registry and the Nebraska State Patrol.
