Job summary

The Palace Care Center is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in a healthcare setting.

The role involves evaluating function, developing treatment plans, delivering direct therapy across multiple care settings, and ensuring documentation and compliance with ethical standards and HIPAA.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing function
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to patients across acute, subacute, outpatient, or long‑term care settings
  • Document assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and other interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient care
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals, strategies, and home programs
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education activities
  • Maintain compliance with ethical standards, HIPAA regulations, and state/federal guidelines

Position Summary

The Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders within a healthcare setting. This role ensures the delivery of evidence‑based, patient‑centered care in compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing function
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to patients across acute, subacute, outpatient, or long‑term care settings

Work Environment & Schedule
  • Full‑time, part‑time, or per‑diem opportunities may be available
  • May include inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings
