Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a Full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Candidates must havegraduated from an accredited SLP program and hold a New York State SLP license.

Experience in geriatric care is preferred, but new graduates with relevant exposure are encouraged to apply. The role includes delivering evaluations, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited SLP program.
• Current New York State SLP license or actively pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Administer Speech Therapy evaluations and examinations to diagnose residents and develop treatment plans.
• Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients.
• Observe and assess progress and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and ensure proper handling of information.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, or standards.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members.
