Job summary

Alpha Public Schools in East San José is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Special Education team. You will deliver direct speech and language services to identified students with disabilities and support communication across classrooms.

You will conduct evaluations, manage AAC systems, develop lesson plans, and collaborate with general education staff to ensure IEP goals are implemented. Professional development and data-driven approaches are part of our supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed SLP with required California credential.
• Ability to evaluate and plan speech-language services.
• Experience supporting students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support direct speech and language services for identified students with disabilities.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and data analysis for eligibility.
• Manage AAC systems to ensure functional communication.
• Create lesson plans and materials for language goals.
• Collaborate with general educators to support IEP goals.
• Provide professional development to site teams on speech services.
• Ensure legally defensible services and accommodations per IEPs.
• Collect data and monitor student progress toward goals.
• Maintain timelines and complete paperwork and reporting.
