Job summary

YAI is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat speech, language and feeding needs for school-age students. The role includes direct services, implementing evidence-based therapies and documenting progress toward therapeutic goals, with possible supervision of trainees.

The position requires NYS SLP licensure and NYSED TSHH/TSSLD, strong interpersonal and writing skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Speech-Language Pathologist license and NYSED registration.
• Current certification and registration as TSHH or TSSLD in NYS.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides intensive speech-language, feeding, and AAC services to assigned students.
• Develops and implements therapeutic plans addressing communication and feeding needs.
• Evaluates, documents, and monitors progress in session notes and reports.
• Completes evaluations and establishes or updates IEP goals.
• Collaborates with parents, teachers, and other service providers to support IEPs.
• May provide supervision to clinical fellows or graduate students.
• Performs duties as assigned and may cover related school activities.
