Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking a Speech Pathologist to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing and related disorders.

You will perform a broad range of duties, ensure patient-centered care, document treatments, and collaborate with physicians and rehab staff.

The role requires strong communication skills, ability to work with residents and families, and adherence to weekly documentation and education duties.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must meet recognized standards of the professional education and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech and related disorders.
• Plan and administer treatment; communicate with the physician and rehab team.
• Maintain an accurate daily record of treatments, billing and charting.
• Follow weekly documentation guidelines for all residents.
• Provide in-service education to facilities, staff, students and community.
• Report abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator or Director of Nursing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Will attain an efficiency standard for delivery of services.
