Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state licensure or licensure eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct Speech Therapy services including assessment and treatment.
• Screen patients at regular intervals to determine need for intervention.
• Evaluate patients to obtain data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to patients, family, and team.
• Establish individual patient schedules with team members.
• Develop treatment plans with short and long-term goals and methods.
• Coordinate treatment plan with patient, family, and team.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment per physician orders.
• Instruct on use of augmentative communication devices.
• Participate in discharge planning and home/community programming.
• Document assessment, treatment, follow-up and termination of services.
• Supervise students/volunteers as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to infection control standards.
• Pursue ongoing continuing education and professional development.
