The Arc - Jefferson & St. Lawrence is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver clinical services to children and adults within Early Intervention, Preschool, and Adult programs. The position requires NYSED licensure, ASHA CCC (preferred), and compliance with Medicaid documentation.

You will evaluate communication abilities, develop treatment plans, and work with families and school teams to ensure quality outcomes. This is a full-time role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Licensed by New York State Education Department as a Speech Pathologist.
  • ASHA CCC preferred.
  • Provisional certification as NYS Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or NYS Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
  • Work may require lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall operation of speech-language sessions.
  • Participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team for IEP development and evaluation.
  • Evaluate communication abilities of service recipients.
  • Develop, implement and maintain service plans.
  • Provide direct speech services to children and adults in various programs.
  • Prepare documentation compliant with Medicaid and program requirements.
  • Complete annual discipline-specific assessments in speech and language.
  • Attend IFSP/CPSE/ISP meetings as requested.
  • Ensure proper storage/use of assistive technology and supplies.
