Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital Tucson is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) to evaluate and treat patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting in Tucson, AZ, focusing on brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders.

This full-time position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus, generous orientation, tuition reimbursement, a clinical ladder, PTO, health/dental/vision coverage, and a strong team dedicated to helping patients return to community activities.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• CCC or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• Preferred: CCC from ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and develops/modifies treatment plans per patient needs.
• Delegates and directs therapy services for assigned patients.
• Designs functional programs to support return to community activities.
• Educates patients, families, students, colleagues and self.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care and program delivery.
• Coordinate treatment with other clinical services and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred
