Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Genesys Hospital Acute Care and Inpatient Rehab Department. This part-time role evaluates and treats patients requiring speech-language therapy and supports discharge planning.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCC, state licensure, Praxis, and CFY completion, plus one year of clinical experience. Schedule includes weekend coverage and holidays.

• Successful completion of the National Praxis Examination.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year.
• One year of experience in a clinical setting required.

Responsibilities

• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques for the patient’s condition.
• Educates and counsels patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintains clinical records and follows performance improvement recommendations.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provides information regarding support programs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited graduate program;
• Successful completion of the National Praxis Examination;
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year.
• One year of experience in a clinical setting required.

LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• The State of Michigan license; Certificate of Clinical Competence by ASHA
