Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Speech Language Pathologist at St. Charles Hospital. The clinician will diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across ages, conducting evaluations and creating therapy plans.

Licensed in the current practice state is required with CCC-SLP preferred by hire and within one year. Strong collaboration with the health team and families is essential for home continuation.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of current practice.
• CCC-SLP is preferred at hire and required within one year.
• BLS Basic Life Support is preferred/required per location

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals, patient conditions, and medical histories to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop discharge plans based on assessments.
• Administer speech language pathology treatments tailored to individual patient needs.
• Design rehabilitative programs addressing language, swallowing, memory and cognition.
• Educate families and caregivers on procedures for home continuation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in patient care conferences.
