Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow to join our Denver clinics. You will plan and implement naturalistic therapy for young children, working on communication goals with mentorship from seasoned SLPs.

You will coordinate with BCBAs, OTs, psychologists, and other clinicians to develop effective, family-centered programs, including AAC strategies, while tracking progress and updating plans with families and team members.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • License to practice speech pathology in Colorado or provisional license by start date.
  • Experience or interest with AAC.
  • Ability to connect and engage with young children.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement naturalistic speech therapy for ages 1–5 in a center setting.
  • Receive hands-on mentorship from seasoned SLPs.
  • Coordinate assessments and treatment plans with BCBAs, OTs, and psychologists.
  • Develop communication interventions, including AAC devices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and implement programs.
  • Monitor progress, update treatment plans, and communicate with families.

Come join us as a Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow at Soar Autism Center

Soar is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life‑shaping services that support them to thrive. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally‑appropriate learning that meets the needs of each unique child and family. Specifically, we focus on an integrated autism care model tailored to young children with autism.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as one of our on‑site Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow and plan and implement naturalistic speech therapy for young children ages 1‑5 years old in a center‑based setting
  • Receive hands‑on experience under the mentorship of seasoned SLPs
  • Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and create treatment plans in coordination with other clinical specialties (BCBAs, OTs, psychologists)
  • Develop communication interventions for young clients, including but not limited to AAC devices, to support client communication
  • Be a part of an interdisciplinary care team, specifically collaborating with BCBAs, RBTs, occupational therapists, and mental health professionals to plan and implement effective programs for young kids, including co‑treatments with the occupational therapy team
  • Monitor client progress, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate needed changes to team members and families
  • Partner with client families to develop goals, build relationships, communicate progress, and coach and support them in their journey
Qualifications
  • Desire to be a part of an organization working to advance the standard of autism therapy
  • Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program
  • License to practice speech pathology
  • Prior experience with AAC or interest in learning from our clinical teams
  • Embody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children
  • Clinical Fellows must hold a provisional Colorado license by their start date at Soar.
