Job summary

Middleburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist to screen, evaluate, and treat residents in need of communication therapy. The role requires a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and an active state license.

You will review medical data, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with rehab staff to implement therapy and educate colleagues. Compliance with policies and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Must hold a current state license to practice.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for screening, evaluation, and treatment of patients needing Speech Language Pathology services.
• Reviews medical information and conducts screenings to determine need for services.
• Performs evaluations under physician order and develops tailored treatment plans.
• Implements treatment plan through direct therapy and staff education.
• Participates in continuing education for professional growth.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and accurate billing information.
• Attends interdisciplinary and family meetings to relay findings and recommendations.
• Supervises non-professional staff as appropriate.
