Job summary

North Shore Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver in-clinic evaluations and individualized therapy plans for children. This role emphasizes collaboration within an interdisciplinary team, including OTs, PTs, BCBA, and mental health professionals, to support holistic care in a pediatric setting.

You will assess and treat communication and feeding disorders, develop goals, educate families on AAC, and coordinate with teachers and doctors to ensure cohesive care.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and IL state license in good standing.
  • Experience conducting assessments to identify client strengths and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose communication and feeding disorders.

Your role as a Speech-Language Pathologist

As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with SLPs, OTs, PTs, BCBAs, Mental Health Practitioners, and Neuropsychologists. Your responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose communication and feeding disorders
  • Make appropriate cross-referrals to other disciplines
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals for each client
  • Provide one‑on‑one therapy sessions to improve speech, language, social, and feeding skills
  • Educate families, staff, and the community on AAC and other communication supports
  • Collaborate with doctors, teachers, and pediatric therapists for coordinated care
  • Keep detailed records of progress and adjust plans as needed
