Job summary

West Tennessee Post Acute in Jackson, TN seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in geriatric patients. You will develop individualized plans and provide therapy across articulation, language, voice, and cognitive domains.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will monitor progress, adjust plans, and educate patients and families on home exercises.

Qualifications

  • New graduates welcome; CF supervision available.
  • Experience as Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Therapist (ST) is a plus.
  • Geriatric population experience is a plus.
  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • CPR Certification is required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards is required.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including but not not limited to, articulation therapy, language development therapy, voice therapy, and cognitive training.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses, to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about speech and language disorders, treatment strategies, and home exercises.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patients' progress and make recommendations for discharge planning.
Qualifications
  • New passer/graduates and CF supervision are welcome.
  • Previous experience as Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Therapist (ST) is a plus.
  • With Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care experience is a plus.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Active CPR Certification.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards is required.
