Job summary

Lionsgate Academy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide direct speech and language services under supervision. The role supports middle and high school students with communication goals defined in their IEPs.

The ideal candidate holds Minnesota SLPA licensure or eligibility, an associate degree in SLPA, and strong teamwork skills to collaborate with SLPs, teachers, families, and the education team.

Qualifications

  • Current Minnesota SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Associate degree from an accredited SLPA program or qualifying education and training.
  • Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete the required job tasks.
  • Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and/or middle or high school age.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Work individually and in small groups with middle/high school students to support communication goals identified in their IEPs.
  • Collect data and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services.
  • Prepare therapy materials, visuals, and activities.
  • Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, EAs, families, and other members of the student’s educational team.
