Job summary

The Community Wellness Project is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support school-based speech services under the supervision of a licensed SLP. The role focuses on student communication goals, data collection, and collaboration with teachers and families.

This contract; full-time or part-time position offers flexible scheduling and a pathway to long-term placement. Candidate should hold an active SLPA license/certification and have strong organizational and communication

Qualifications

  • Active SLPA license/certification in the state of assignment.
  • Experience in K-12 settings preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with supervising SLP.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Implement IEP goals and therapy activities.
  • Collect data, document progress, and maintain session notes.
  • Support screenings, informal assessments, and therapy material preparation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to reinforce communication strategies.
  • Uphold district, state, and professional guidelines.
