Position Details

- Local Pay Rate: $50/hour

- Contract Length: 10-Month School Year
- Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
What You'll Do
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Support students in achieving communication goals outlined in treatment plans and IEPs.
- Assist with documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student success.
- Help create engaging and effective therapy activities for students.

Qualifications
- Active California SLPA license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for helping students develop essential speech and language skills
- School-based experience preferred but not required
- Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
- Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
- Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
