Job summary

Compleat KiDZ in North Carolina is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to support pediatric therapy across our clinics. You will assist with goal-directed interventions, documentation, and family education to promote communication and feeding skills in children from birth to 18 years.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited SLPA degree, North Carolina licensure, ASHA certification, and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• 1 year of pediatric experience preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• Degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant from an accredited college or university.
• Active North Carolina Licensure in SLPA and ASHA certification.
• Pass a Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Complete treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic as indicated on the treatment plan development by the CCC-SLP.
• Accurate documentation in EMR system.
• Detailed and thorough communication with child\'s healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.

Position Overview

As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant with us, you will be assisting children reach their full potential and be committed to evidence-based practices. We are looking for an energetic, growth-minded Speech Language Pathologist Assistant with pediatric experience that enjoys the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of children and is creative in educating the children's guardian/family. Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is also required.
