Job summary

Compleat Kidz is seeking a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our Copperfield Clinic on-site. You will support children in therapy sessions, assist with treatment planning, and collaborate with OTs, SLPs, PTs, and other clinicians in a play-based pediatric setting.

The role requires an active NC SLPA license, ASHA credential, and a degree in SLPA. New graduates may be considered; a background check is required, and you will enjoy a collaborative team and supportive

As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant with us, you will be assisting children reach their full potential and be committed to evidence-based practices. We are looking for an energetic, growth-minded Speech Language Pathologist Assistant with pediatric experience that enjoys the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of children and is creative in educating the children's guardian/family.

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Requirements & Responsibilities:

1 year of previous pediatric experience is preferred; new graduates will be considered.

Degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant from an accredited college or university.

Active North Carolina Licensure in SLPA and ASHA certification.

Pass a Background Check.

Complete treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic as indicated on the treatment plan development by the CCC-SLP.

Detailed and thorough communication with child's healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is also required.
