Job summary

Compleat KiDZ in North Carolina is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide pediatric therapy across our outpatient clinics. You will evaluate, treat, and discharge plan for children birth to 18, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, and communicate progress to families and providers.

Qualifications

• 1 year of pediatric experience preferred; CFs will be considered.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active North Carolina SLP licensure and ASHA certification.
• Background Check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in outpatient clinic.
• Accurate documentation in EMR system.
• Communicate progress reports and updates to families and other healthcare providers.
• Assess and make recommendations for assistive technology or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Supervise CFs and SLPAs in the clinic.

We provide Occupational, Physical, Speech, and ABA Therapy services to children birth to 18 years of age in our 18 clinics using a play‑based model.

As a Speech Language Pathologist with us, you will be assisting children reach their full potential and be committed to evidence‑based practices. We are looking for an energetic, growth‑minded Speech Language Pathologist with pediatric experience that enjoys the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of children and is creative in educating the children’s guardian/family.

Speech Language Pathologist (Pediatric) Requirements & Responsibilities

• 1 year of previous pediatric experience is preferred; Clinical Fellows will be considered.
• Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Active North Carolina Licensure in SLP and ASHA certification.
• Pass a Background Check.
• Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic.
• Accurate documentation in EMR system.
• Detailed and thorough communication with child's healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology and/or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Acts as a supervisor for CFs and SLPAs in the clinic.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is also required.
