The Speech‑Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) provides direct support to licensed Speech‑Language Pathologists (SLPs) in the screening, treatment and documentation of speech and language disorders. The SLPA works under the supervision of a licensed SLP, assisting in delivery of speech therapy services to individuals of varying ages who may have speech, language, and communication disorders. The SLPA plays a crucial role in implementing therapy plans, providing individualized interventions, and supporting the overall goals of the therapy team.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CDIS).
Experience: Previous experience working as an SLPA or SLPA extern to SLPA path.
